Annual Makerere Moot court competition held at the School of Law on 27th June 2015 12 teams arguing a hypothetical case on African Human Rights titled, “The case between the African commission on Human and People’s Rights on behalf of Active Help International V the United Republic of Mongu (URM)”
Seven of the best speakers were selected to represent Makerere at the 24th African Human Rights Moot Court Competition at at the 15th All African International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition and the 5th East African Regional Child Rights moot court competition organized with financial support from PILAC.
Hon. Justice Geoffrey Kiryabwire patron of MLS promised a trophy for the competition to be awarded annually.
The Winning team was Judith Maryanne Aboto and Joseph Byomuhangi, the best oralist was Daniel Bill Opio, the best memorials were presented by Daniel Bill Opio and Denise Kukundakwe.
Daniel Bill Opio and Denise Kukundakwe will represent Makerere at 24th African Human Rights moot court competition in Lusaka Zambia.
Judith Maryanne Aboto, Joseph Byomuhangi and Rachel Kobusinge will represent Makerere at 15th All Africa International Humanitarian law Moot court competition in Arunsha Tanzania.
Simon Ssenyonga and Julianne Kisakye are set to represent Makerere at 5th East African Regional Child Rights moot court competition in Nairobi, Kenya.
