The Public Interest Law Clinic ( PILAC) at the School of Law , Makerere University aims at producing law graduates which can serve  the justice needs of the vulnerable , as well as institute  public interest litigation cases with a bias in human rights.

This speciality in addressing the training as well as the needs of the target communities demands among other things, an ardent interest in human rights law practice and a set of guidelines and standards to follow.
In this regard PILAC has come up with a set of tools that will facilitate the process and they include:
•     The community Law program instructor’s manual
•    Learner’s Manual and the public interest litigation Manual
In addition, the PILAC alumni have come up with the second issue of the PILAC Today Newsletter to continue sharing with students, partners and other stakeholders about the activities of the alumni.
