Student Experience:

PILAC has been a journey as well as a learning experience for me.  I had always loved defending human rights but didn’t know where to start. Pilac gave me the platform. It was a whole new experience different from my previous classes;

I got hands on experience, learnt legal writing and research through the oil memorandum and research on real cases (maternal health case) that I handled. I got the privilege of attending parliamentary committee meetings on the oil bills (being the bills I was handling), meeting, interacting and sharing ideas with people with from different CSOs.

The lecturers were very friendly and accessible and until now I find it very easy to knock at their doors for consultation. With all the group work, I was able to make great friends in the class and PILAC became like my other family.
